Just a a post about some messages I’ve received and posts that have pop in my feed from time to time as well as my frustration with Canadian politics. Yes, I am a lefty. No I do not care about Alberta Proud, Canada Strong, or the like. No Justin Trudeau should not be hung for treason. No I do not care about your truck and oil personality. No I do not care if you are offended and or amused by me wearing a mask in public. I am extremely frustrated that Pierre Poilievre supporters feel the need to give me their unwarranted and unsolicited 2 cents every time I make a post about politics or go out in public. To clear this up for (hopefully) once and for all, FUCK OFF. I don’t care about your political leaning unless you start at me. You say that Canada is better than their USA and that Trump is a dink (to put it mildly) and that you’re voting Con next year. Fine vote for a Con but let me make clear, Poilievre is NOT for the little guy. He has never worked a hard job in his life. From digging ditches, building fences, putting up scaffolding, cleaning warehouses or even taking out the trash. All jobs of which I have done and will continue to do for better or for worse. If you think Poilivee is for the little guy here’s some facts:
Poilievre voted AGAINST the GST holiday.
Poilievre voted AGAINST pharma care.
Poilievre voted AGAINST dental care.
Poilievre voted AGAINST child care.
Poilievre voted AGAINST taxing the top 2% wealthiest Canadians.
All of which would have benefitted the little guy.
Poilievre has stated on several occasions that he will privatize the CBC. When that happens, what will happen to the rural communities with no local media except what the CBC coveres? Does Poilievre honestly think that Global and Roger’s will go into these small communities out of the kindness of their hearts? Get real.
Poilievre has repeatedly lied and been called out for it.
Poilievre has repeatedly name called and bullied other politicians that he disagrees with.
Poilievre has been filmed courting the convoy nut jobs and white suppremacist exconvicts of violent crime.
Poilievre has been filmed on occasion implying that he will change the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms using the “Notwithstanding Clause”.
Now ask yourself, with all of the above knowledge, does Poilievre really work for the little guy? Oh yes, please tell me again that Poilievre is better than Trump when he’s been pulling from Trumps playbook in his speeches for years. I am indeed scared for myself, my family, my likeminded friends and acquaintances. Essentially since you’re blinded by your hatred of Trudeau (who I don’t like either) that you would rather vote for a right wing conspiracy believer fascist like Poilievre. Essentially you’re shitting your pants because someone else in the room farted. Yes I am a NDP supporter. They are far from perfect but they would be a positive change from Canada’s only 2 governing parties. Oh yes, Canada is SO different from the USA.
